…my name’s Nathan. I’m originally from Lancaster in the north of England, but I now live in Barcelona.

I’m an urban sketcher and YouTube creator, exploring cities, travelling, painting in watercolour, and documenting the places and things along the way.

This website is an extension of my YouTube channel, Arting About with Nathan, where you’ll find extra sketches, projects, behind-the-scenes bits, and things that don’t always make it into my videos.

I also host Arting About | Sketch Sessions with Nathan, a monthly live sketching session where viewers send in their photos, and I choose a selection for us to sketch together.

I don’t think art needs to be overly complicated. I enjoy the process of getting out there, trying things, and seeing what happens. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but that’s all part of it.

So have a look around, explore the gallery, check out the YouTube channel, and hopefully you’ll find something you like.

If you’d like to hear about new videos, Sketch Sessions, exhibitions and other things I’m working on, you can sign up to my mailing list below. I’ll only send occasional updates.
